A group of Year 12 students clocked in for ORT JUMP’s first ever Alternative Work Experience Week.
The 16 sixth-formers from five different schools, were each set a project by experts from a range of industries, including commercial property, business tech, music production and IT.
Whether it was promoting a popstar’s brand new single or designing a PowerPoint presentation incorporating AI to advertise a business, participants were challenged to research, create and present their concepts.
There was also a day of Python Programming and in addition, the students worked in teams to plan an ORT JUMP Employability Skills charity event.
The week concluded with a boardroom meeting, complete with the election of a CEO, where ideas were presented, shared and negotiated.
Thank you so much to our experts – Mitchell Feldman, Rik Saunderson, John Woolf, Nick Reid and The Harkalm Property Group.
We hope everyone had a valuable experience and left feeling more prepared and excited for their future career!
