An incredible panel of sporting stars joined us bright and early for the [SP]ORT UK Business Breakfast 2025 on Thursday.

Our host, Sports Lawyer Daniel Geey, led an insightful panel discussion between Leon Angel, (Head of Football, CAA Base), Talia Lazarus (Presenter and Sports Broadcaster) and Joe Jacobson (Ex Footballer, Wycombe Wanderers FC).

They discussed their career highs and lows and what motivates them to succeed. They also shared the employability skills they value such as communication, team work, determination, adaptability, a growth mindset and resilience. Mentoring has also played a role in steering them towards success, each having benefitted from advice and support from multiple people throughout their careers.

Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast and continued to chat and network with the panel and each other, long after the formal discussion had finished.

There was also an appeal from Annette Kurer and a raffle was drawn, with proceeds helping ORT UK to empower the next generation through mentoring, employability skills training and alternative work experience.
