The ORT JUMP Graduation 2022

07.07.22

Congratulations to our ORT JUMP graduates 2022!

Over 300 mentees, mentors, parents and teachers attended The ORT JUMP Programme’s first in-person graduation since 2019 at JW3.

Guest speaker and mentor, Paul Samuels, (Executive Vice President, AEG Global Partnerships) discussed his impressive career journey with TV broadcaster and journalist, Juliet Mann. Responsible for the landmark deal that saw O2 secure sponsorship of the Millenium Dome, Paul explained to the audience how he used perseverance, creativity and a huge helping of chutzpah to seal the deal, which transformed a failing project into the world’s most popular music venue. He also answered questions from the audience and offered our graduates invaluable careers advice.

We also heard from mentor Jake Fenton (Emergency Response Capabilities Advisor at Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)) about the importance of mentoring and mentee Avigayil Rowe (Hasmonean Girls School) who spoke about her positive experience of the programme.

Prior to the event, the ORT JUMP students had submitted a creative piece and tonight, the four winners were revealed and received prizes:

  • Chananya Goldmeier, Hasmonean High School for Boys – mentored in finance by Ben Forman
  • Bibe Mangal, Copthall School – mentored in social work by Simone Swimer.
  • Noor Ahmad, The Lammas School – mentored in design and business by Lua Garcia
  • Adam Fait, Immanuel College – mentored in Art and Graphic Design by Miki Shaw

All participants received a graduation certificate for completing the ORT JUMP Programme.

We hope that everyone had a fabulous evening and all graduates walk away with the confidence, skills and knowledge to JUMP-start an incredible career.
