ORT UK is off to the Digital Skills Academy!

British students Nicole Nissan and Poppy Taylor have both won a place at ORT’s Digital Skills Academy in Bulgaria.

Nicole, a student at JFS and Poppy, who attends Yavneh College, will represent ORT UK on ORT’s prestigious digital training programme, alongside Year 12 students from Israel and several European countries.

At the intensive two week workshop, the students will receive hands-on training in digital media production on world class film sets, using state of the art equipment. Participants can choose to focus on either advanced digital photography or video production, with the long term aim of producing leaders in the creative use of digital media.

During their stay, Nicole and Poppy will produce a short film or photo showreel for ORT UK to exhibit at our annual dinner in October.

Nicole says, “I’m excited to go, so I can meet new people and develop my skills!” While Poppy, says, “I’m super excited to attend the ORT Digital Skills Academy, because I can broaden my knowledge of video production while meeting loads of new people my age from all over the world who have a passion for this too.”

We look forward to hearing all about their trip and seeing the results of our talented students’ hard work!
