We were thrilled to welcome over 200 guests on Monday evening, at the ORT UK Annual Dinner 2024.
The theme of the evening was Bridging the Gap – between school and the workplace.
We celebrated the ORT JUMP Mentoring and Employability Skills Programmes, which reached a record 1000 students this year, equipping them with the skills to JUMP-start their career journeys.
We heard from an array of wonderful speakers, who shared their experiences with ORT UK, World ORT and the ORT JUMP programmes:
- ORT JUMP alumna and Associate at Coutts, Emily Bassalian, spoke about the benefits of being mentored.
- ORT JUMP 3-Day Employability Skills Challenge facilitator, Lucy Freedman (Senior National Account Manager at OGGS), sang the praises of the participants and introduced the winning team.
- ORT Russia almunus and current ORT UK Trusts and Grants Manager, Ivan Rozhanskiy, described his life-changing education at an ORT school.
- ORT JUMP mentor and parent, Adam Cannon (Director of Legal at News UK), talked about the advantages of being part of The ORT JUMP Mentoring Programme.
- La Sante Union’s Careers and Curriculum Support Manager, Hilary Tait, expressed her gratitude to ORT JUMP for offering ‘generosity’, ‘commitment’ and ‘selflessness’ to her students for the past 7 years.
- ORT JUMP mentees and International Careers Challenge participants, Dylan Lack and Zoe Heiman, told us about the skills and self-confidence they gained on the programmes.
Plus ORT JUMP alumni Luke and Ollie Shooter entertained us with a brilliant musical performance!
We also premiered our three new ORT JUMP films, highlighting the impact our programmes are having on young people.
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and for all those who donated so generously to help us continue bridging the gap!
