Charity Screening: Forgotten Soldier

ORT UK held an exclusive screening of Forgotten Soldier – winner of the ‘Audience Choice Award’ at the Jewish Film Festival.

The sold-out event at the Soho Hotel, was followed by a fascinating Q&A with Lady Irene Hatter, led by film expert & lecturer, Dr Julia Wagner.

The film followed the journey of our special guest, Lady Hatter, as she embarks on a journey to uncover the truth about her father, Sally Noach’s rescue operation in Lyon in the early 1940s. Sally ’s refusal to tell his family about his actions during the war meant that his children had little idea of their father’s heroism. Almost four decades after the Dutch businessman’s death, Lady Hatter delves into the story behind her father’s bravery, which helped save the lives of hundreds of Jews. Narrated by Zoe Wanamaker and Henry Goodman, Forgotten Soldier is a moving story of one man’s mission to fight the Nazi killing machine.
