Our schools and colleges in France, Spain, Italy, the Baltic States, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine serve tens of thousands of students every year.
These and other educational programs are made possible by the enthusiasm and idealism of hundreds of devoted supporters, principally through fundraising organisations in Belgium, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
This network of operational and fundraising activities is a consequence of the effectiveness of ORT programs, which were initially limited to Jews in the Pale of Settlement when the organisation was founded in St Petersburg in 1880.
More than 80% of our high-school students from the Former Soviet Union (FSU) proceed to university
Around 10,000 families benefit from ORT education in the FSU every year
An impressive 95% of ORT France students successfully passed their Baccalauréat exam, compared to the 91 per cent national average
More than 5,000 women took part in our adult training courses in the Former Soviet Union
A staggering 51,662 hours of Jewish Studies per year are delivered in our schools in the FSU, helping students and families to reconnect with their Jewish roots
