As a senior Media Lawyer and qualified barrister, Adam has unparalleled expertise and experience in all issues of reputation management. He has a far-reaching network throughout the newspaper, broadcasting and online worlds as well as a profound understanding of the key issues within the media. This has developed from his 17 years working for two of the largest newspaper groups. He is sought out for advice management on all areas of reputation management, high-level and high stakes crisis communications, advocacy and general strategy.
He managed the editorial legal department and oversaw its budget, provided practical, commercial and legal advice with particular emphasis on defamation, contempt, reporting restrictions, copyright, and IPSO issues. He provided 24/7 support as well as practical media law training to journalists.
Previously, he was Group Legal Advisor at Associated Newspapers (The Daily Mail Group).
He was called to the Bar at Middle Temple in October 1997 and practiced for 5 years before moving in-house.
Adam studied law at Magdalene College, Cambridge. While there, he was elected President of the Cambridge Union.
