Become an ORT UK Trustee

ORT UK are recruiting new trustees, one of whom it is intended will succeed the current chair of trustees.

ORT UK are part of the global ORT educational charity, providing education and skills training to needy Jewish communities worldwide. Founded in 1880, ORT is active in more than 30 countries and supports approximately 300,000 students and beneficiaries to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of poverty and charitable dependence.

ORT UK, which was established in 1921, supports ORT projects globally by raising much-needed funds via events and direct fundraising. Key geographical areas targeted include Israel, the former Soviet Union and the UK through the ORT JUMP mentoring programme.

We are seeking new trustees, one of whom it is intended will succeed the current chair, to help lead, drive and build on our success and reputation. We have ambitious plans to expand our reach, so it’s an exciting time to help lead ORT UK through our next phase of development.

We are looking for trustees with one or more of the following skills: finance and fundraising, marketing and communications and education. Previous trustee experience is not necessary.

Your responsibilities as trustee will include attendance at trustee meetings, attendance at ORT UK events and ad hoc committee work.
