SMART Classrooms in Megiddo, Israel, 2009-2013

As part of World ORT's '1,000 SMART Classrooms' initiative, Megiddo Regional High School was provided with 10 SMART Classrooms in March 2010.

Megiddo Regional High School caters to 700 students from grades 7-12, integrating students from all faiths and those with disabilities in a single school environment. The school has been identified by the Ministry of Education as a 'red' priority educational area, requiring assistance to raise the educational standard.

In 2009, a ORT UK donor was approached to provide 10 SMART classrooms containing a combination of laptops, an interactive whiteboard, interactive slates and voting kids, projectors, printers, software and wireless networks to the school. The new classrooms were installed during the Pesach holiday in 2010 and teacher training in their use initiated.

ORT UK would like to thank the anonymous donor who made this project possible.
